In that
antiquity that was before any written history it was mystic conscious
aware Masters whom educated wandering
Disciples to nurture the message of its meaning as it
has come almost unchanged from the original source. Just whom it was
that first became aware of the uniqueness of this
"Mirror's Reflection" from the
original source is lost in the forgetfulness of time. It may have been
revealed at various moments and in the diverse places to more than a
single individual, as there does seem to be small threads of the
"Mirror's Reflection" running
throughout most all of the known philosophy-religions, as if they were
mysteriously sprung from some similar mystic oral tradition of which the
very earliest traces are lost.
It is only
within written history of humankind that it is thought that through
the adept insight of a Western Gate
Keeper by the name of Yin Xé,
who demanded of the venerable Chinese Sage,
Lhaó Zé, before he could exit into the shadows of prehistory,
with the compiling from the esoteric teaching, the "Mirror's
Reflection" of the simple basic exoteric text that
all Dhaóist hold with reverence as sacred insight,
producing the teachings of what eventually became the Dhaó-Dé
Jhing that so clearly express the inner spiritual way of
the Dhaó. However, being changed ever the more slightly
throughout the generations of humankind by those individuals who 'corrected'
the text in transcription to compliment their 'desire of the individual'
without a mystic conscious aware Master's proper
guidance of the esoteric message of its meaning, has brought
about many diverse divisions that continue to perpetuate the 'orthodoxy
against the heretical' movements associated with all philosophy-religions,
including Dhaóism.
Dhaóism has
been recognized as one of the two indigenous philosophy-religions
of Ancient China, the other being
Confucianism, the earliest form of social bureaucracy
set down in writing. The 'philosophy' of Dhaó
can thus be traced historically, anthropologically, and archaeologically,
back in time as least some 4,000 years before this common era, from
apparent georgical shamanistic mystic social beginnings within the
Liangzhú neolithic culture of the central
loessland plains of Ancient China,
along the Yhang Zé tributary. And
for at least the last 3,000 years, specifically within the many misty
valleys, there among the forests and waterfalls found in the central
Zhongnan Mountain Range
of present day China, there has dwelt individuals,
hermits, sages, and shamans in the many natural caves and purposefully
built hermitages made of wood and stone. It is here that Dhaóism
has its roots. This philosophy of Dhaó is so ancient
in origin though, that it is the very underlying principle of both
Dhaóism and Confucianism, as well
as the Advita Vedanta teachings
of the Indian Subcontinent Hindu
classics, the Upanishads. Along with Lhaó Zé,
the mystical teachings of Zhúang Zé and Wei Bóyang
are essential to Dhaóist esoteric understanding,
and for This Khó-N'gha Dhaó
Religious Order, also. The way to
a Creative Living Force
of The ONE is what the Dhaó
expresses itself as.
The nineteen
century anachronistic 'Wade and Giles'
spelling of "TAO" is still the most familiar usage
throughout Western references, although "DAO"
is the present accepted spelling in accordance with the modern Chinese
Pinyin phonetic translation of the written ideogram-character,
whereas "Dhaó" is the accepted Romantic
phonetic equivalent according to "Khúl-lha Khan"
(which is the traditional practiced esoteric language of
communication of Khó-N'gha Dhaó). "Khó-N'gha
Dhaó" is the Romantic alphabetical representation
of the Western phonetic equivalent of the Khúl-lha
Khan words for the "Three-Robed Way."
As would be, the word for 'three' and the word for 'blue'
sound almost the same in Khúl-lha Khan,
and therefore the "three" Robes are a distinctive
"blue" in color. Another translation might then be the "Blue-Robed
Way." "Khó-N'gha Dhaó" as a noun is the
title of a neo-Dhaóist Religious-Philosophical
Monistic Idealism; while as a personal
pronoun it is the earned title of an Ordained Clergy
Member of Khó-N'gha Dhaó. Khó-N'gha
Dhaó is composed of an independent Religious
Order, of which it is a separate organization totally
responsible for its own initiate education and instruction, ordination,
and ritual practices, internal governing structure, and economic survival;
all this within the accepted central guide of the 'Ordination
Credó of Khó-N'gha Dhaó.'
Today Dhaóism
consists largely of major and minor schools and sectarian divisions
(called, of course, 'Sects'), with
numberless denominations and religious orders thereof, both within
and without China proper. Although there is a central
underlying Teaching of the Dhaó-Dé Jhing,
and some prevalent commonly held beliefs concerning their view point
of Dhaó that all these Sects may share with each
other, none of these Sects are truly identical in
either their religious-philosophical education and instruction of
initiates, ordination and ritual practices, or their internal governing
guides as rules and regulations. Each Sect has evolved
its own relationship to the subject of 'worship' through
different emphasis upon: mental contemplation (meditation), belief-faith-ideals
education and instruction, 'prayer', herbal alchemy, physiotherapy,
physical exercise (as 'martial art' forms), exoteric and
esoteric language and communication, as well as differing
relationships toward such acceptance of or rejection to other 'foreign'
philosophical-religious beliefs, teachings, symbolism and terminology.
It is in
particular that a major Sect of Dhaóism,
known in China as 'Chan-na Dhaó-mó,'
which is the easiest recognized and probably the most famous of all
Dhaóist Sects today, and although
it has evolved from the Dhaóist influence
made upon Buddhism in China, and
is really more Dhaóist than Buddhist,
yet it is still popularly regarded by its Japanese
name of "Zen" Buddhism. Of course
the Hindu Advita Vedanta
has also had historic Dhaóist influence made upon
it, but the resulting Dhaóist Order,
mostly confined primarily inside China at Thólung
Gómpah in the high Tibetan Plateau
West of Lhasa, and outside China
at Thólung Gómpha in the Himalayan
valley area of the Northwestern Indian
Protectorate of Sikkim, which has
held to the primogeniture, as well as the simplistic form of this
particular Dhaóist Order holds as
a common 'Forbidden Stricture' the total abstinence
towards the possession or actual use of any specifically designed
form of weapons of violence for contending towards or against another
individual. The Dhaóist Order
has also been called "the Way of the Silent Ones," as the
religious order does not actively engage in the seeking out or intrusion
upon individuals for the purpose of proselytizing to convert to Dhaóism,
or this particular Religious Order.
The consensus of This Dhaóist Order
seems to be in keeping more to the synchronicity of a passage from
the Terma Khó-N'gha Dhaó - The Book of ONEness: "With
patience an individual may find knowledge; can ask of themself and
learn the truth of individuation; may seek wisdom and find the TRUTH
of Creative Living Force
of The ONE." This
Dhaóist Order is officially known
as "Khó-N'gha Dhaó," and the greatest Western
exponent of its religious-philosophy, at least so far, has been the
late philosopher-writer-lecturer, Alan Watts,
specifically in "TAO: The Watercourse Way" and "The
Book" among his prolific twentieth century career.
By
Khó-N'gha Dhaó tradition it is said that the
Dhaóist priest possess seven revered objects: "The
first object is the meditation cushion which tames the monsters of the
mind. The second is the robe which subdues mischievous pride. The third
is the bowl which holds only purified (mostly meatless, but nutritional)
food. The fourth is a straw hat for protection against sun, wind, rain,
frost, and snow. The fifth is a horse-hair whisk or fan for sweeping
away the dust of the mundane world. The sixth is a bag for carrying the
sacred scriptures and personal world. The seventh is a staff for
clearing the obstacles that block compassion's way."
We are a
simple Esoteric Religious
Chivalric Order. As such we are an
Institution of Simple
Education. We will not tell you what
The TRUTH is, but will attempt to
teach you how to learn what that TRUTH is for yourself.
We are a a simple Esoteric Religious
Chivalric Order, not a
Church; please don't confuse us with one. And just what
is the difference between a Church and a
Religious Order?
To become a
member of a Church - and this applies to most any
Church - all that is needed to do is walk into the
Church service, proclaim your adherence to the basic
beliefs and tenets of the Church authority (whether
just by your continued daily or weekly attendance at the
Church services, or your active participation in the
Church activities and monetary support), and your
social acclimation to others that you belong to such
Church.
Yet to become
a member of This Khó-N'gha Dhaó
Religious Order - and this seems to
apply to any Religious Order of
whatever denomination - what is required is to enroll through a
specified training and educational program concerning the beliefs,
tenets, rituals and specific observations of this particular
Khó-N'gha Dhaó Religious
Order, and then be examined upon that knowledge, and
with a satisfactory recognized understanding, to profess 'sacred
vows' and be Ceremonially
Ordained into membership in This
Khó-N'gha Dhaó Religious
Order.
Becoming an
Ordained Voting
Member of This Khó-N'gha
Dhaó Religious Order is
tantamount to a 'marriage' between the individual and
This Khó-N'gha Dhaó
Religious Order, while joining a
Church is more like an occasion enjoyed for the social
status of membership than for the practice of true faith and belief
(though there are those occasional exceptions to even this
posture).
To profess
'sacred vows' and thereby be Ceremonially
Ordained into Membership in
This Religious Order:
The WAY of ONE -
Khó-N'gha Dhaó, is recognized (by This
Religious Order particularly and those
such Ordained) as comparable to the idea of 'loss
of virginity'; Once done, there is no return to the former state of
innocence of the 'truth' of the individual enjoyed prior to
ordination.
There are two
(2) basic Teachings by which Khó-N'gha
Dhaó is founded, and they are known as:
The
TRUTH of The
ONE,
and
the 'truth' of the
individual.
This
TRUTH of The ONE is
stated simply as:
"There IS
only ONE; and there
are no exceptions to The ONE."
From this
TRUTH of The Creative
Living Force of The
ONE comes the basic foundation of meaning upon which
all that this is, was, or shall ever
BE does manifest as Existence
conceived through Time perceived.
The
'truth' of the individual is stated just as simply
as:
"Individuation
IS to be lost in the ignorance of separation from The
ONE."
From this 'truth'
of the individual comes the eternal 'play' of everyone and
thing in their own personal 'living' life-style, oblivious
to the FACT that they are but The
Creative Living Force
of The ONE at 'play' in
existence through the 'truth' of the individual. This who
deliberately follow the 'truth' of the individual are forever
lost in the ignorance of their being so separated from the Creative
Living Force of The
ONE, while those whom are deliberately following
The TRUTH
of The ONE are thus forever Avowed
unto Responsibility by their Knowledge
and Understanding of that Teachings
TRUTH. Even if you should try to walk away from this responsibility
The TRUTH will haunt your thoughts until
you die, unfortunately. Therefore consider with diligent
patience your choice to walk in Khó-N'gha Dhaó.
It is through
the guiding Articles of Organization
of This Khó-N'gha Dhaó Religious
Order, being the organizational guides and standards,
as strong suggestions of information, opinion, perspective, that
This Khó-N'gha Dhaó
Religious Order does present itself
publicly as an alternative 'living' life-style to any
individual seeking mystic conscious aware self-understanding, and the
religious-philosophical responsibility which is the inalienable right of
that individual to seek to express. This mystic alternative way of life
is not static or unchangeable, but rather with some constancy, like
The Creative Living
Force of The ONE
itself, is a growing, learning, BEcoming experience of
its Avowed unto Responsibility
Ordained Members.
At Nihm
Fohng ré-Nahm, the 'High Rite Celebration of the Day
Outside the Year of Seasons,' the 8th of October
1987 c.e., Master Fred
'Fritz' Hill, then The
Exchequer, as Treasurer, presented
the opinion that This Religious
Order's "Omnipresent Noetic
Entity" (ONE) seemed remarkably
similar to the movie producer George Lucas'
"Force" from his cinema features STAR WARS
trilogy, and made the suggestion that This
Religious Order consider studying
any and all reference works about the "Jedi Order"
and "the Force" and, because This
Religious Order's need for true
knowledge and understanding, to also have knowledge of the 'Dark
Side', so as to see if there might be a connection,
of any sort, with the Teachings of Khó-N'gha
Dhaó. Then at Nihm Fohng ré-Nahm, 2008
c.e., after reviewing what twenty years of seasons has compiled information
to date, and we have learned much concerning the Force
and the obvious necessity for This Religious
Order to evolve, L'Dhar Carolyn
Ray Shaver, the then Exchequer,
as Treasurer, made the motion that we gather what
This Religious Order
had researched on the Force and it's Jedi
Knight's knowing and using of it, and should publish
such information in a book form to be entitled: Hints of The
Force From Jedi Histories. And as an addendum to this motion,
it was unanimously decided that This Religious
Order will seriously consider any and all applicable
Teachings on The Force
be brought into the curriculum to the technical ability of This
Religious Order's future, eventually
accompanying This Religious Order
into the vast reaches of galactic space, where it only seems the proper
logical next step for Humankind, and of This
Religious Order.
Another matter
that was brought up at the meeting at Nihm Fohng Ré-Nahm,
1989 c.e., was how This Religious
Order should engage with the present day People's
Republic of China, its political
system not being considered acceptable to the majority of This
Religious Order's Ordained
Members, especially after the Tian'anmen
Square Incident, and that a constant
and continuous attempt, sense This Religious
Order's Incorporation, of communication
with the Quan Zhen Dragon
Gate Headquarters in Beijing,
at the White Cloud Temple,
has been consistently unsuccessful, prudence dictates that This
Religious Order modernize and cut
linage connection with the White Cloud
Temple and China proper. Part of
the history of This Religious Order
is the fact that the last thirteen (13) members of
This Khó-N'gha Dhaó Religious Order
in China had been expelled from both the Quan
Zhen Dragon Gate
Sect in 1682 c.e., and China
proper, at least then, and those few members had traveled South
unto the Yaó encumbrance of South
China, then turning West, ascending
up into the Himalayan plateau of mid-Western Tibet
and and there established a monastic hermitage West
of Lhasa, there known as Thólung
Gómpah, before moving south, nearly one hundred years
later, into the then Kingdom of Sikkim,
there to also establish a monastic temple also called Thólung
Gómpah. When three (3) monks of
Sikkim's Thólung Gómpah
traveled to California in early 1871
c.e., drawn by the call of easy gold prospecting, they settled in
Nevada County, and there established
a small Jose House and Hermitage
that was burned to the ground by European miners
in clashes after the Chinese Exclusionary Act
of May, 1882 c.e.. Since the reestablishment of This
Khó-N'gha Dhaó Religious Order,
and the Sect in America in 1982
c.e., it seems imperative that This Religious
Order modernize and consider its future very seriously.
Then in time it was HeadMaster Khang
Fré Y' that made the motion, then,
at Nihm Fohng ré-Nahm, 2008 c.e.,
that This Religious Order
consider, seriously, what the German Anti-Nazi
Writer, Martin Niemoeller, had to
say in a speech in 1946 c.e.: "In Germany, they
cam first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't
a Communist; And then they came for the Trade Unionist, and I didn't
speak up because I wasn't a Trade Unionist; And then they came for
the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew; And then...they
came for me...And by that time there was no one left to speak up."
And more recently it has been reported that Roman
Kroitor, a cinematographer who was the developer
of the IMAX cinemascope system, once insisted: "Many
people feel that in the contemplation of nature and in communication
with other living things, they become aware of some kind of force,
or something, behind this apparent mask which we see in front of us,
and they call it God." Khó-N'gha Dhaó refers
to this numinous binding, metaphysical and ubiquitous power, described
so succinctly in George Lucas' original
Star Wars: A New Hope, released on May 25,
1977, and then in The Empire Strikes Back,
released on May 21, 1980,
before the incorporation of This Religious
Order, and later, more thoroughly with Return
of the Jedi, released on May 25,
1983, The Phantom Menace, released on May
19, 1999, Attack of the Clones,
released on May 16, 2002,
and finally in Revenge of the Sith, released on May
19, 2005, and also through the many
Jedi Pseudo-History novels and comics,
that Khó-N'gha Dhaó came thus to the knowing of this
concept as The ONE, the Life
Creating Force of Existence.
It is with
these concepts in due regard that This "WAY of
ONE - Khó-N'gha Dhaó" has become the founding
Religious Order of Khó-N'gha
Dhaó in the United States of
America. It was only after
California's reorganization of its laws relating to
tax-exempt not-for-profit religious organizations in
1980 c.e., that it was reincorporated in the
300th Year-of-Seasons
marking "Nihm Fohng ré-Nahm," the brutal exile of the
few (13) surviving members of Khó-N'gha
Dhaó in China, that was formerly one of the
minor Religious Orders of
Qiú Chújé's Longman
or 'Dragon Gate'
Sect, being itself of the Quanzhen
School of Dhaóism, that those valiant
few (12 men and 1 woman) where exiled
from China by the then Qing
Kangxé Emperor Xuanyé
(after the "Rebellion of the Three
Feudatories" of 1673-81 c.e.), that
This Khó-N'gha Dhaó Religious
Order was Incorporated on the
8th day of October, in
1982 of the common era, and given the
Corporate Number
1124545 by the then Secretary of
State. It received its California
Franchise Tax Exempt
Status on the 23rd of
November, 1983 c.e., under
Section 23701d of the
California State
Revenue and Taxation
Code. It received its Federal
Tax Exempt Status the
30th of April, 1984
c.e., under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code
of the United States of
America, and donations, gifts, and bequests can be
fully tax deductible (a receipt for all such donation to
This Religious Order
is usually given). Its Federal
Employer Identification
Number is 68-0016619.
Thus it is
this characteristic then that We offer to those who
may become interested in Us and the Teachings
of Terma Khó-N'gha Dhaó - The Book of ONEness, that
We shall attend them as Blue-Robed
Servants to the Creative Living
Force of The ONE.
And as such Blue-Robed Servants
to the Creative Living Force
of The ONE, We
recognize and proclaim that our personal religious practices,
as for any individual, must be left to the personal religious practices,
as for any individual, must be left to the personal conscious and
conviction of that individual to undertake, or not, as they alone
must judge fit; and it is the right of every individual to thus exercise
their religious practices as these judgments may indicate, so long
as that exercise does not violate the right of other individuals in
this same regard. It is the responsibility of each individual to uphold
this right of religious exercise for them self and for any
and all others. As this responsibility must be total, or it is not
responsible at all, it mirrors the Creative Living
Force of The ONE;
as this responsibility is total, and thus mirrors
the Creative Living Force
of The ONE, We
thus seek to BE Blest of The ONE In and For this Endeavor,
as The ONE IS Blessed In and Through US by this Endeavor.
